Meet Our Team
At the National Pre-Medical Association, we take pride in our unwavering commitment to supporting the pre-med community in their pursuit of academic and professional excellence. Our dedicated Board of Directors provides the leadership necessary to ensure that our Management Team, staff, and volunteers are fully aligned with our mission and vision. Through our various programs and initiatives, we strive to empower pre-med students to achieve their educational goals and make a meaningful difference in society. We recognize that the pre-med journey can be challenging, and we aim to provide a comprehensive support system that equips students with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to succeed. Our platform provides a space for pre-med students to connect with their peers and experts in the medical field, allowing them to share their research and ideas and collaborate on innovative projects. Additionally, we offer mentorship, professional development, and leadership training programs that help students build the skills and expertise needed to thrive in the medical field. We are deeply committed to promoting community engagement and social impact. Through initiatives aimed at raising unrestricted and sustainable funding, we support pre-med students in their efforts to create positive change in their communities. Our team conducts original research and produces thought leadership content aimed at driving growth and innovation in the social good landscape. Finally, we are strong advocates for improving access to medical education. We recognize that many barriers exist that can prevent pre-med students from accessing the resources and opportunities they need to succeed. As such, we are committed to advocating for policies and initiatives that promote equity and fairness in medical education and eliminate systemic barriers that prevent students from reaching their full potential. In sum, our team at the National Pre-Medical Association is dedicated to empowering pre-med students to achieve their goals and make a positive impact on society. Through our programs, initiatives, and advocacy efforts, we aim to create a world where all pre-med students have the opportunity to succeed and make a meaningful difference.

With our chapters, I plan charitable activities and regularly update the leadership team on the status of fundraising. Finding and researching possible donors, building relationships with them, generating convincing proposals, and setting up campaigns are some of my other duties.

My name is Yash and I am a recent pre-med graduate of Haverford College. I hail from Skillman, NJ. Having majored in Biology, I take an interest in translational research in oncology and helping underserved communities. I very much enjoyed playing squash on my college varsity team and it continues to be my favorite pasttime today.

Hello! I’m Meg Wilson, the Director of Operations of NPreMA. I earned a B.S. in Biology at Denison University. Much of my time not spent in the classroom was spent leading multiple health and public health non-profit organizations on campus. I am currently living in NYC while pursuing a Master’s in Public Health at Columbia University.
Sonia Chen
Director of Development '19
Hi I'm Sonia! I have a degree in Psychology from NYU. I plan to further explore my interest in the mind-body connection at medical school later this year. Navigating my premed years was not easy so I hope to try and make the whole process easier for those after me. I am currently located in NYC where I am finishing up my gap year.
