Maria Tollock
Biography:
Maria Tollock holds a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University, where she served as a Teaching Assistant for Biochemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, Biology Lab, and Nutrition. She also held leadership roles as Secretary of the Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity and acted as a Peer Research Mentor and Student Advisor for the College of Human Ecology. During her time at Cornell, Maria conducted both wet lab and systematic review research and completed an honors thesis in nutrition.
Professionally, Maria is currently a Research Coordinator at NYU Langone in Critical Care and Resuscitation. She has also gained clinical experience as a Clinical Researcher at UCLA Health Neuro-Oncology, a Nursing Assistant and Scribe at Cayuga Medical Center, and as a volunteer at both the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes and the Cedars-Sinai Emergency Department. Her diverse background in research, clinical practice, and mentorship makes her a valuable asset to the NPREMA Mentorship Program, where she is dedicated to helping students succeed on their pre-medical journey.
