EmpowerMed Scholarship Fund
The NPREMA EmpowerMed Scholarship Fund is a scholarship program designed to empower minority women who have been accepted into a Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medicine Program. This program is intended for individuals who have already earned a bachelor’s degree but need additional preparation before applying to medical school. Our goal is to help bridge the gap between undergraduate education and medical school by providing financial assistance and support to talented students who have a passion for medicine.
To be eligible for the NPREMA EmpowerMed Scholarship Fund, applicants must identify as minority women and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.7. We believe that supporting women who have historically been underrepresented in medicine is crucial to promoting diversity and equity in healthcare. Our hope is that this scholarship program will help break down barriers and provide opportunities for talented women to pursue their dreams in medicine.

First NextGen Medicine Scholarship Fund
The NextGen Medicine Scholarship Fund is a scholarship program designed to support First Generation high school seniors who have been accepted into a university or college, as well as current freshmen and sophomores who are completing premedical prerequisites or are part of BS/DO or BS/MD joint programs. Our goal is to help fund the education of talented and promising young students who are finding their path as first-generation college students and are dedicated to pursuing a career in medicine.
The scholarship fund covers up to $4000 in tuition expenses per year for each recipient. To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must be citizens of the U.S. and have a GPA of 3.7 or above. Previous applicants are welcome to reapply. Students must submit a resume/CV and a short essay outlining their goals and aspirations in medicine.
Applications for the NextGen Medicine Scholarship Fund open on August 1st and close on October 1st each year. We believe that supporting the education of young students who have a passion for medicine is crucial to building a strong and diverse healthcare workforce. We encourage all eligible students to apply for this scholarship fund and take the first step toward achieving their dreams of a career in medicine.

NPREMA Hope for Health MCAT Prep Scholarship
The NPREMA Hope for Health MCAT Prep Scholarship is a scholarship program designed to support premed students in their journey toward becoming physicians. This scholarship is open to all premed students, both international and US citizens. The scholarship ranges from $3000 to $200 and is given in the form of a voucher that can be used towards designated MCAT Prep classes, MCAT Prep books, or toward AAMC MCAT Prep material such as practice tests and flashcards.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must have a minimum GPA requirement of 3.5. Applicants must submit a resume or CV and a transcript. There is no requirement for an essay or a Tax return. We believe that providing financial assistance to students preparing for the MCAT can help them to achieve their goals and alleviate some of the financial burdens of medical school.
The NPREMA Hope for Health MCAT Prep Scholarship is intended to support premed students who are dedicated to pursuing a career in medicine. We hope to provide students with the resources they need to achieve their full potential on the MCAT and pursue their dreams of becoming physicians. Our goal is to build a stronger and more diverse healthcare workforce by supporting the education of talented and promising premed students.
