Chaya has always been driven by a passion for compassion, constantly looking for ways to make others feel seen and valued. When her 21-year-old cousin, Liz, was hospitalized in New York City for nearly two years, there were innumerable scares that made it uncertain whether Liz would make it to her next birthday.

Determined to make that birthday unforgettable, Chaya threw a party in Liz’s hospital room. Soon, the celebratory spirit bloomed into a series of holiday and milestone achievement parties, each one designed to show Liz how deeply she was loved and how much she deserved to be celebrated. These parties did more than distract from the harsh reality of Liz’s illness—they turned a once-bare environment into one that was bearable, not just for Liz but for her visitors as well.

Inspired by the positive response, Chaya realized she could bring this same light to other patients facing similar medical challenges, who, like Liz, deserved to be at the center of attention, enthusiasm, and love.

And so, The Party Treatment was born—a nonprofit dedicated to bringing joy and light to patients in the hospital. Our mission is to remind patients that they are not merely one among many in the world, but that they indeed are the world. Through the power of parties, we seek to provide the antidote that transforms fear and isolation into hope and connection, ensuring that no patient ever feels unnoticed or uncelebrated.
